The Finnish-made OwnBio® microbial tablet has received the Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification today. This tablet is added to purified tap water, where the microbes naturally start breaking down dirt. Both cleaning personnel and surfaces remain free from chemical residues, and there’s no need to rinse the cleaned surface.
The OwnBio® microbial tablet is part of the Ownwell® method, a 100% chemical-free solution for professional cleaning. Purified water is produced onsite using OwnPro® devices tailored to the size of each cleaning location. Along with the lightweight, compact OwnBio® tablets, this method reduces environmental impact from logistics and packaging materials.
Ownwell® is a patented Finnish method developed by Green Berry Oy. The company’s mission is to create a cleaner environment by removing chemicals from cleaning processes, thereby enhancing safety and respect for the cleaning industry. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the most recognized environmental label in the Nordic countries. It is awarded only to products or services that rank among the top in their category for environmental impact, with just 20–30% of applications being approved.
In Finland, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel is managed by a committee comprising representatives from consumer, environmental, and business organizations, as well as authorities and research institutions.
